ADS Security has acquired Systems Unlimited Inc. of Jackson, Tenn., expanding the regional security provider’s footprint into western Tennessee. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Established in 1990 and a member of Honeywell’s First Alert Professional dealer program, Systems Unlimited brings with it “a good mix of commercial and residential accounts,” John Cerasuolo, ADS president and COO, tells SSI.
The recurring revenue associated with the deal is largely intrusion monitoring, along with inspection and service contracts. Also attractive to ADS is Systems Unlimited’s numerous customers that utilize cellular monitoring, Cerasuolo says.
The acquisition establishes ADS’ 15th branch location in five states, including Kentucky, Georgia, Alabama and Florida. Keith Harvey, president of Systems Unlimited, will remain with ADS and serve as general manager of the new Jackson branch. The company will retain all 13 Systems Unlimited employees, Cerasuolo says.
Along with its Nashville headquarters, ADS operates a large office in Chattanooga, giving it a strong service presence in the middle of the state. Its expansion west toward Memphis with the Systems Unlimited buy furthers ADS’ larger strategic initiatives, Cerasuolo says.
“Our strategic focus is to look to fill out the Southeast. We call it ‘connecting the dots’ between all of our current branches throughout the region,” he says.
