UL Expands Its European Testing Capabilities

The alliance with SP expands UL's current capabilities to test and certify to a wider range of European standards. Specifically, UL UK, as a Notified Body to the Construction Products Directive, will utilize SP's test facilities for testing to a variety of EN and ETAG standards in the areas of fire resistance and fire alarm & detection covered within UL UK's scope of services.

Delaware Adopts Latest Editions of NFPA 1, NFPA 70 and NFPA 101

The state of Delaware has updated its statewide adoption of NFPA 1, Fire Code and NFPA 101, Life Safety Code to the 2009 editions, and NFPA 70, National Electrical Code to the 2008 edition. The state has also updated several other NFPA codes and standards to the latest version. All adoptions became effective Nov. 11, 2009.
