SUFFERN, N.Y. — On-Net Surveillance Systems Inc. (OnSSI), a developer of IP video surveillance solutions, has combined its IP camera control capabilities with Buena Park, Calif.-based StarDot Technologies’ megapixel imaging technology.

“The impressive performance of StarDot’s megapixel cameras ideally complements OnSSI’s approach to IP video surveillance control and monitoring,” says Gadi Piran, president and CTO for OnSSI. “StarDot cameras integrate seamlessly with our ‘push’ technology, enabling advanced video analytics to facilitate monitoring and minimizing bandwidth requirements.”

With OnSSI’s system control solution, StarDot cameras offer a “send on motion only” mode that can save up to 70 percent on bandwidth, according to the companies.

“OnSSI’s digital pan/tilt/zoom controls for recorded video allow customers to take full advantage of the resolution of StarDot cameras. With this feature, a single StarDot camera with a wide angle lens can effectively do the job of three or four conventional video surveillance cameras,” says Vance Kozik, product manager, StarDot Technologies.
