HOUSTON -- First Capital Int'l Inc., a security integrator and logistics company, and FLIR Systems Inc. demonstrated a thermal imaging surveillance solution during the Major League Soccer (MLS) All-Star game Wednesday at Reliant Stadium in Houston.

The "proof of concept" demonstration marked the first opportunity for real-time integrated thermal imaging in a public arena using thermal handheld imagers, pan/tilt/zoom (p/t/z) cameras and video analytics, according to the companies.

"We're very excited to work with First Capital Int'l," says Barrett Thompson, district sales representative, FLIR Systems. "Our wide range of thermal imaging products are powerful tools and can play an important role in providing safety and security in sports events like the MLS All-Star Game."

Use of the sophisticated surveillance platform at the stadium began July 26 and will continue through July 31.
