GLENDALE, Calif. -- IP video suppliers Arecont Vision, Intransa and OnSSI will offer a High Definition (HD) IP Road Show series in six cities in the United States and Canada beginning Aug. 26.

"Networked IP video systems are increasing the usefulness and transforming the functionality of physical security," says Yitzhak Zahavy, partner marketing manager, OnSSI. "Multiple technologies are contributing to a complete overhaul in system design, and our road shows will be a great opportunity to show how easily these technologies can be incorporated into a unified IP-based security system."

Hosted by security, communications and electrical products distributor Anixter, the half-day, hands-on sessions will highlight the integration of powerful video surveillance solutions that combine the advantages of megapixel video resolution with the system flexibility, scalability and functionality of networked systems based on Internet protocol (IP).

"Our high def, zero guesswork road show is a great opportunity for end-users and integrators to experience first-hand how three leading industry technology platforms work together," says Jason Schimpf, partner relations manager, Arecont Vision. "Our concise half-day event will combine hands-on sessions and open discussions with an opportunity to see product line demonstrations."

"The emphasis will be on how these technologies can be easily integrated for the benefit of better customer solutions, and it's a great opportunity to meet with the manufacturers and see the complete solution in actual use," adds Bob Gitre, senior director of channel development, Intransa.

The road show kicks off on Aug. 26 with shows in both Denver and Dulles, Va. Additional stops include California's Orange County area (Nov. 4); Detroit (Nov. 9); Edmonton, Alberta, Canada (TBD); and Toronto (TBD).
