Genetec Omnicast 4.5 Video Surveillance Solution
Saint-Laurent, Canada-based Genetec, releases the most recent version of its advanced IP video surveillance solution, Omnicast 4.5. Version 4.5 supports a variety of on-the-edge video analytic solutions like ObjectVideo technology as well as video devices with built-in analytics from partners like Bosch, Sony and Panasonic.
Feature enhancements include a password-protected video export, support for additional camera models and camera functionalities from manufacturers such as Axis, Arecont, IQinVision, JVC, March Networks, Panasonic, Pelco and Sony.
Analytics events sent by the camera to Omnicast can be managed to make the system react based on classification, such as motion detection, object removed, camera tampering and loitering.
