Mavin Releases Version 5.2 of Security Management Platform

The latest version of the Mavin security platform features automatic client workstation installation capability.

ROCHESTER, N.Y. — Mavin Technologies, a service-oriented provider of physical access control solutions, announces the general availability of its Mavin Security Management Platform (SMP) version 5.2.

The company says the latest version is highlighted by the ability to deploy automatic client workstation upgrades from a central location.

When enabled, the automated installation works by having the client workstation verify its current version against the version installed on the database server. If the client is behind, it automatically downloads and installs the latest version.

“Having the capability to automatically install system upgrades to client workstations significantly decreases the amount of time required to deploy a new version of software,” says Jeff Ross, managing director at Mavin Technologies. “In addition, there are tremendous costs savings enjoyed when technicians are not required to physically visit each client every time a new version of software is released.”

Mavin SMP 5.2 also offers the ability to automatically delete old database backups, a feature that maximizes efficiency of storage space.

The platform also supports an updated system integration to the FLIR/DVTel Latitude 7.0 video management system.

In addition, new script reports and people related report filters have been implemented in this latest release.
