ZKAccess Releases Multi-Biometric Access Control Device

ZKAccess says the ProBio-ID is the first multi-biometric access control device with SilkID technology to hit the market.

FAIRFIELD, N.J. — ZKAccess, a provider of biometric, RFID and access control solutions, introduces what it calls the security industry’s first multi-biometric access control device with SilkID technology.

The ProBio-ID connects directly to door locks or panels the same as a common keypad or RFID card reader.

“ProBio-ID has the unique ability to read faces, fingerprints, RFID cards, PIN codes or any combination of these four credentials,” says Larry Reed, CEO, ZKAccess.

It’s face recognition camera provides hands-free access control and also includes ZKAccess’ next-generation SilkID fingerprint sensor, which provides superior accuracy and speed matching, according to the company.

Results of a recent survey show that 80% of Americans support biometric payment technologies. Could these feelings correlate with biometric access control technology as well?
