Atronic Alarms Receives HAI 5-Star Honor for 10th Straight Year

LENEXA, Kan. — Atronic Alarms Inc., based here, received the HAI 5-Star 2011 dealer program award for the 10th consecutive year. HAI, a provider of home automation systems, recently announced the winners at its annual Dealer Appreciation Party in Orlando, Fla.

The 5-Star program was first initiated in 2001 and symbolizes excellence in procedures, service and sales. Atronic is the only security dealer in Kansas City and its surrounding area to achieve the 5-Star Dealer accolade.

Atronic Alarms offers the Omni home control line of security products through HAI, which enables clients to manage their home environment through automated lighting, garage doors and thermostats.

“Our marketing strategy is a combination of upgrading existing clients as well as selling to new customers. Although the housing market is depressed, we are fortunate to have strong relationships with builders that recognize the importance of offering home automation to their clients,” Neil Atha, vice president of Atronic Alarms, tells SSI.

In the past year alone, Atronic has increased its home automation installations by 70 percent, which Atha largely credits to utilizing the iPhone and iPad to demonstrate how easy it is to remotely connect to home systems.

“Atronic Alarms has been in the home automation industry for more than 10 years and this has allowed our service, install and programming technicians to develop a base knowledge at a very early point and grow confidently with each generation of products,” he says.

The company also keeps its existing client based informed about new technology with its quarterly newsletter, Totally Wired. The newsletter, in particular, has encouraged customers with systems Atronic has maintained for more than 25 years to inquire about home automation. In fact, the company is seeing increased awareness and expectations in the marketplace across the board.

“People are starting to become more aware of their carbon footprint and the fact that they need to be more efficient in their environment,” Atha says. “In today’s world, connectivity is expected and home automation allows people to easily achieve this by controlling their thermostats and lighting in their home or business from anywhere in the world.”
