PHILADELPHIA —SmartCEO will recognize Amy Kothari, president and CEO of Alarm Capital Alliance, as one of the top 25 female leaders in the Philadelphia area during its Brava! Award ceremony on July 23.

The Brava! Awards program celebrates female CEOs who combine their entrepreneurial spirit with a passion for giving back to the community. Each year, an independent committee of local business leaders selects winners based on the quality of applications submitted.

The panel selects award winners based on their ability to encourage local philanthropy, mentor up-and-coming leaders and set their companies on the path to tremendous growth. This year’s class collectively generates more than $1.5 billion in annual revenue, and employs nearly 4,300 individuals.

“Brava winners possess the utmost qualities in a leader – vision, passion, compassion, dedication, perseverance,” says Rick Crane, regional president of SmartCEO Media. “Every one of this year’s winners exhibits these qualities in running their businesses, taking care of their families and participating in their philanthropic activities. They give 110 percent of themselves. We are honored and humbled to recognize a group of women who are truly making a difference in the world.”

Kothari assumed the leadership role at Alarm Capital Alliance 10 years ago. Each year, the business has seen positive, sustained growth through acquiring, installing, and supporting residential security alarm companies nationwide. Since its inception, the company has completed more than 750 acquisitions with more than 400 different partners.
Additionally, Kothari has nurtured professional and personal bonds with all of Alarm Capital Alliance’s constituents.

“The Greater Philadelphia region has no shortage of women entrepreneurs, and it’s an honor to be on this list with my peers,” Kothari says. “Alarm Capital Alliance has made a conscious effort to marry our philanthropic goals with the long term growth plan and stability of the business.”

As a 2014 Brava! Award winner, Kothari will be featured in an upcoming issue of SmartCEO magazine.
