BELTSVILLE, Md. — ASG Security, based here, has increased its regional footprints in Louisiana and Florida following deals for a pair of installing security contractors.
Houma, La.-based Alarm Detection Systems (ADS), a 33-year-old commercial and residential security provider with about 2,000 customers, will bring ASG approximately $45,000 of recurring monthly (RMR). The company was owned and operated by Reuben Williams, who will join ASG along with about a dozen employees. The new Houma branch will report into ASG’s existing New Orleans’ operations.
“We’re excited about the organic growth opportunities in the Houma market, and will leverage the investment we’re already making in regional marketing and advertising,” says Bob Ryan, ASG’s senior vice president of sales and marketing.
Assisting Alarm Detection Systems was Steve Rubin of Davis Mergers and Acquisitions Group.
ASG also acquired approximately 500 customer accounts from Amsafe Security Systems, based in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. The accounts will fold into ASG’s existing South Florida operations. ASG previously acquired National Alarm Systems in Ft. Lauderdale on Jan. 31.
“This transaction helps us continue to build market presence and customer density in the South Florida region,” says ASG CFO Ralph Masino.
The ADS and Amsafe transactions closed April 14 and March 31, respectively.
