The Security Industry Alarm Coalition (SIAC) and the False Alarm Reduction Association (FARA) have named Atronic Alarms of Lenexa, Kan., as the Police Dispatch Quality (PDQ) Award winner. Co-sponsored by SECURITY SALES & INTEGRATION and Honeywell Security, the PDQ Award annually recognizes the security company which best demonstrates a proactive, cooperative and successful effort in alarm reduction strategies.
“Atronic Alarms is very excited to be recognized for our dedication to reducing false alarms,” says Perry Atha, president and developer of Atronic Alarms. “We have always made false alarm prevention a priority by using only the best technologies in quality installations. We also believe that on-going education is a great way to continue reducing alarms.”
Atronic was recognized for fully integrating alarm dispatch management practices throughout all company departments, and achieving a nearly perfect score in every area that the PDQ Award measures, says Stan Martin, executive director of SIAC.
“They have clearly demonstrated a strong alarm management program which we believe should be emulated by others,” Martin says.
An in depth look at Atronic’s award-winning practices will be featured in SSI‘s May issue.
The official award ceremony for the PDQ Award took place on March 31, prior to the opening of the ISC West in Las Vegas. Previous winners include Alarm Detection Systems Inc., Brink’s Home Security and Vector Security.
