CLARK Security Products, Allegion Give Security Pros Special Day at San Diego Padres’ Petco Park
Four security professionals from across the country took batting practice on the field as part of the ‘once-in-a-lifetime event.’

SAN DIEGO — Earlier this month, four security professionals from Chicago, Las Vegas, and California participated in batting practice Petco Park, the home of Major League Baseball’s San Diego Padres.
CLARK Security Products, an Anixter company and wholesale distributor of physical security products and services, partnered with Allegion, a global provider of security products and solutions, to create the experience. Customers who participated in a special product promotion were eligible to win the trip.
“Let me say thank you for this unexpected trip to the west coast,” said Oliphant Lock’s Chad Kahle, who brought his son along and was one of the winners. “We had one of the best weekends, ever.”
At Petco Park, the winners and their guests were invited to hang out in the visitors’ locker room, participate in batting practice at the indoor batting cage, take 10 swings from the pitching machine and shag fly balls as long as they wanted. After the morning workout, the Padres staff treated winners to refreshments.
“Usually trips have an agenda: Go to class, learn something and then figure out a way to implement it into your business,” said Kahle. “Hanging out with my son and doing whatever we wanted with no timetable was a welcome change.”
Another winner, Doug Morrow, project manager at Lunstrum, was beaming after the trip. “The reason CLARK is our top choice is because of the excellent customer service – including creating once-in-a-lifetime events like this,” he said.
