ADI Launches Turnkey Marketing Program, Clearance Web Site
Security distributor ADI has partnered with several manufacturers to create what it says is a comprehensive turnkey marketing program. The member companies — Leviton Integrated Networks, Vodavi Phone Systems, Honeywell Security and Honeywell Cable Products — aim to improve installer potential for the small business sector by providing customized technology solutions in the program, called System Networking Application Portfolio Infrastructure Technology (SNAPIT).
In addition, security contractors and integrators looking for a bargain are getting a new option from the distributor. ADI has opened up a new industry clearance Web site, where never-used products are being offered at as much as 83-percent off its original price. Westec InterActive Builds Station of Dreams in Iowa
Alarm monitoring firm Westec InterActive plans to build its central station of dreams in Iowa. Westec says it will open its Visual Communications Center (VCC) in West Des Moines, Iowa, this month. The company, which specializes in video monitoring, says the new facility will service Westec’s international customers.
The VCC will incorporate new technologies with proven equipment and network with Westec’s other stations in Irvine, Calif., Dallas, Frederick, Md., and Palm Beach, Fla. The new facility is being partially funded from a grant Westec is receiving from the Iowa Department of Economic Development with the assistance of the City of West Des Moines. Westec also recently received a $20 million cash infusion from equity firm Clarity Partners.
HSM Continues to Build With 2 Account Purchases
With two purchases within two weeks, electronic security firm HSM (Honeywell Security Monitoring) acquired commercial security contractor National Alarm Pro of Trumbull, Conn., and Santa Maria, Calif.’s Sylvester’s Security Alarms Inc. Terms of the purchases were not disclosed.
HSM also says it plans to provide to its customers a “National Account Performance Scorecard” this fall, which will rate HSM’s performance in customer interactions.
