PRINCETON, N.J. — Frank De Fina has joined thermal camera provider Sightlogix as executive vice president of sales and marketing, effective immediately.

De Fina previously served as executive vice president of Samsung Techwin America for five years before leaving the company on June 2, citing personal reasons.

Sightlogix CEO John Romanowich took part in a conference call to discuss De Fina’s new role and said the long-time video surveillance executive would help the company “bring us to many more markets and create many more channels for us.”

“Frank is here to basically help us manage our development of our sales and marketing,” Romanowich said. “We already have a strong team in place, which he will augment and help us build out and grow to a much bigger platform and company in the process.”

De Fina said he and Romanowich have been friends for some time after meeting each other during their involvement together serving on the board of the Security Industry Association (SIA).

“I have always admired [Romanowich] and we’ve always talked about his business. I was intrigued a long time ago,” De Fina said. “As we were talking more recently I got to learn more about Sightlogix and I started to meet the people in the company and I saw it as a hidden gem.”
