IRVING, Texas — The Electronic Security Association (ESA) is requesting proposals for changes to the Standard for Remote Supervising Station (ANSI/ESA SRSS-01-2007).
Developed by ESA, the standard provides a guide for the monitoring of fire alarm systems at a remote station as noted in NFPA 72. Approved in 2007, it is ESA’s first standard.
In compliance with the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) requirements, all approved guidelines must undergo periodic review. As the first step of the process, ESA will accept proposed adjustments to the existing standard starting Aug. 1 and ending Sept. 30 at 5 p.m. CDT.
During the second step of the review process, the ESA Standards Committee will review all proposed changes. It will then seek industry comments on the proposed changes during the fourth quarter of 2011.
Those interested must submit proposals prior to the published submission deadline. To download the approved submission form, click here.
