NORTHFORD, Conn. — Fire-Lite Alarms by Honeywell has released its 2011 training schedule, which features 116 sessions scheduled throughout the nation. Attendees to the sessions will qualify to receive continuing education credits (CEUs).
The training includes three hands-on courses (Fire-Lite Systems, Fire-Lite Software Applications and Fire-Lite Systems Advanced) that cover all aspects of fire alarm installation and maintenance. Featuring updated content for new products and tools, the two-day Fire-Lite Systems class will be free for all in attendance.
The company attributes the new course offering to the increased demand by installers and facility managers for advanced software training.
“There’s an evident need for more in-depth training on system design, programming and submittal calculations, which incorporates a variety of our software utilities,” says Tom Rosa, instructional curriculum developer and trainer, Fire-Lite Alarms. “Fire-Lite systems are increasingly being specified by more sophisticated designers, so our training program was expanded to support a broader spectrum of applications. That’s the reason we continually survey our customers to be sure we satisfy all their training needs.”
