Honeywell Lyric T-Series Thermostat Designed With Installers in Mind

Honeywell’s Lyric T6 Pro Wi-Fi thermostat is designed to install quickly and easily.

Editor’s Note: The following story first ran in Security Sales and Integration’s sister publication CE Pro.

Honeywell is one of the most popular manufacturers in the security and thermostat categories. Recently the large and diverse company announced its T Series thermostats that offer integrators a choice of connected and standard, non-Wi-Fi enabled thermostats that include the Lyric T6 Pro Wi-Fi solution.

Designed for professional installation, the Lyric T6 Pro Wi-Fi thermostat has been developed to install quickly and easily. It also supports the newly updated Honeywell Lyric app (v3).

The thermostat leverages Honeywell’s multiple partnerships, including compatibility with Apple’s HomeKit for control via Siri, the Apple Home app that Apple bundles into iOS, and compatibility with Amazon Echo, Stringify and others.

Honeywell T Series Features

Honeywell explains that every model T Series employs its UWP mounting system to help facilitate the installation process. T Series products support the upgrade from non-connected T Series products to Web-enabled models through the UWP mounting system that simply requires the swapping of cover plates-the mounting plates remain the same.

Dealers can set up the Lyric T6 Pro Wi-Fi thermostat via the Lyric app, which is available on the iOS and Android platforms. Once the thermostat is set up homeowners can benefit from its customized geofencing features, “for comfort when you’re home and savings when you’re away.”

Other features the T Series line of thermostats offer include:

  • Traditional seven-day programming, along with smart alerts that notify homeowners when extreme temperatures or humidity are detected within the home.
  • Optional ventilation control and dual-fuel capabilities to comply with ASHRAE 62.2 standards for residential new construction.
  • Auto Changeover: The Lyric T6 can be programmed to determine if the home’s systems should be in heating or cooling mode to meet specified temperatures at specified times.
  • Smart Response: This feature enables the thermostats to learn a home’s heating and cooling cycles, and adapt to those conditions for optimized heating and cooling.
