Honeywell Realigns to Combine Security and Fire Safety Divisions

David Paja will serve as president of newly formed HSF.

Honeywell has made a major move.

On Tuesday, the company announced to its employees that the Honeywell Security Group and Honeywell Fire Safety businesses are being combined to form the new Honeywell Security and Fire business (HSF). The new business resides within Honeywell Automation & Control Solutions (ACS), and the combination will offer “a broader and more robust portfolio of best-in-class products and end-to-end connected solutions for Homes and Buildings,” according to Honeywell.

David Paja will serve as president of HSF, who served most recently as president of Honeywell Security Group. Paja, who has been with Honeywell since 2003, will report to Alex Ismail, president and CEO of ACS.

Meanwhile, Gary Lederer — president of Honeywell Fire Safety — will work on projects aimed at supporting the integration of the business until 2016, when he will retire. Lederer has been with Honeywell for 16 years.
