Inovonics Announces Collabs With Milestone, Mercury Security

Inovonics has integrated its enterprise mobile duress products with Milestone Systems' XProtect and Mercury Security's access control platform.

By ·

Inovonics promoted a pair of new integrations to its enterprise life safety and specialized commercial wireless systems at ISC West 2014.

The integration of Inovonics’ enterprise mobile duress (EMD) pendants with Milestone XProtect VMS connects duress events with video confirmation for greater insights into security and life-safety threats, Don Commare, vice president of marketing, explained to me.

The company also claims the solution increases efficiencies by reducing response times to help strengthen an organization’s commitment to reducing workplace violence.

A collaboration with Mercury Security allows OEM partners to incorporate Inovonics’ mobile duress wireless network within Mercury’s access control platform. In compliance with the Area Control open specification from the Physical Security Interoperability Alliance (PSIA), Mercury will integrate Inovonics’ EN6080 Area Control Gateway (ACG) to offer the industry’s first integrated access control platform with EMD capabilities, Commare said.
