John Jay College of Criminal Justice to Host Alarm Science Boot Camp

The program is based around the peer-reviewed work of SSI contributor Jeffrey D. Zwirn.

The John Jay College of Criminal Justice is hosting the Alarm Science Boot Camp on Dec. 11, providing a comprehensive training program that featuring scientific, technical and real-world forensic-based training to assist in helping to minimize a company’s liability before a loss occurs.

The camp, scheduled to go from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. in New York, will:

  • Take attendees behind the scenes of actual forensic cases and claims where different types of alarm systems have failed
  • Perform a scientific and technical examination of the failure(s)
  • Provide attendees with a heightened sense of awareness in how certain methodologies and practices can result in a higher propensity to loss of property, serious personal injury and even death

Advanced electronic countermeasures that can be successfully utilized against the criminal element and for life safety purposes will also be provided.

The program is based on the peer reviewed Alarm Science Training Manual, which was created and developed by Jeffrey D. Zwirn, president of IDS Research & Development. Zwirn is a Security Sales & Integration contributor.
