Midwest Security Services Purchases Kentucky Firm
With the acquisition of AVC Security, Midwest Security Services nearly doubles its size in employees and revenue.
KETTERING, Ohio – Midwest Security Services has expanded its footprint in the Midwest with the acquisition of Louisville, Ky.-based AVC Security.
With the purchase of AVC Security, Midwest Security nearly doubles its size in employees and revenue, Dayton Business Journal reports.
The two firms will continue to operate under their respective business names, according to Midwest Security Services President Terry Rogers.
Owned by Linda Hillenbrand, AVC Security was founded in 1982 and is a Woman-Owned DBE certified business. The firm specializes in designing and installing access control, CCTV, emergency notification and fire alarm solutions.
Established in 2008, Midwest Security initially started out as a subsidiary of Midwest Design Computers. Four years later, the firm became independently owned and operated aside MDC. The business provides access control, high-definition CCTV systems and intrusion detection systems. Since its launch, Midwest Security has grown more than 400 percent, Dayton Business Journal reports.
The firm now has 30 employees between its offices in Columbus and Dayton, Ohio offices and the newly acquired Louisville operations.
Terms of the deal were not released.
