ALEXANDRIA, Va. — The Security Industry Association (SIA) has tapped New York Times best-selling author Brad Thor to serve as keynote speaker during its 2012 Government Summit, scheduled for June 19-20 in Washington.

Thor has authored 11 political thrillers, including The Athena Project, The Apostle, The Last Patriot and others. The Government Summit will also feature panel discussions on post 9/11 procurement; public safety from an end-user perspective; the future of access and ID management; securing the smart grid; a briefing on contracting and procurement within the defense and intelligence communities; and connecting with state and local government.
