Ingersoll-Rand Co. Ltd. (IR) has named Michael W. Lamarch as the new president of its Security and Safety division and as the company’s senior vice president. Lamarch left Johnson Controls Inc. after 17 years for the new position.
Milton E. Cooper has replaced the retiring Robert McCashin as chairman of Identix’s board of directors. Cooper, who joined Identix in 2001, is the immediate past chairperson for the secretary of the Army’s National Science Center Advisory Board. From 1992 to 2001, Cooper served as president, federal sector for government system integrator Computer Sciences Corp. (CSC). He has also held positions at IBM Corp. and Raytheon Co.
Videotronix Inc. (VTI) has promoted Thomas Asp to president. Asp, a member of ASIS Int’l, has worked for VTI for 17 years, serving most recently as executive vice president and COO.
Smart card provider Gemplus has named Ernie Berger as president of its North American operations. Berger comes from the financial services sector with First USA, a Bank One company, and American Express.
Mohamed Lazzouni has been named CTO of access control company Viisage. Lazzouni joined Viisage in 2002 after serving as CTO and co-founder of Intelligent ID Devices Inc., and has been Viisage’s vice president of engineering since 2002.
CCTV manufacturer Videolarm has hired Doug Greenway as its National Account Manager, Integration and manager of sales in the western region. Greenway has headed sales teams and served customers at Protection One Security, ADT Security Services, Checkpoint Security and SEEVID.
Vector Security Inc. has appointed of Marcus McCarthy and Larry Arlen as national accounts managers, and James Rao as director of video technology. All three come to Vector from ADT.
Mark Holland has joined Cross Point Industries as director of sales for the company’s Voice Alert® System-6, a wireless annunciator. He was previously with such companies as i2 Technologies, Trade Service Corp. and Pacific Bell, holding titles ranging from account executive to vice president of sales and marketing.
