CEDAR RAPIDS, Iowa — The National Systems Contractors Association (NSCA) will launch a new conference series designed for mid-level managers that will focus on business training, networking and manufacturer training.
NSCA developed the “Best Practices Conference (BPC)” to bring more specific business training to its members in a one-and-a-half day event. To allow more opportunities for integrators to attend, the association will host four BPC events in the fall.
The conference installments will provide four distinct tracks based on finance, operations, sales and project management. Industry experts will lead the workshops, emphasizing business skills that will help integration firms improve efficiencies and increase profits. Additionally, the conferences will feature manufacturer training and a roundtable discussion with industry peers, which will focus on policy issues and solutions that will help integrators create a sustainable, profitable business.
“Systems integrators are positioning their businesses to strengthen their relevance with their clients,” says Ingolf deJong, president of general communications and the NSCA Board of Directors. “There is no better way to stay ahead of the curve than by applying tactical information that NSCA provides its membership through its research, training, benchmarking and policy work.”

Oct. 17 – 18: Irvine, Calif.
Nov. 7 – 8: Foxwood, Conn.
Nov. 18 – 19: Chicago
“The industry has asked us for years to bring training to them on a regional basis,” NSCA Executive Director Chuck Wilson says. “We are combining business skills with our best components of the Business & Leadership Conference [BLC] — the networking and shared industry experiences — to mid-level managers throughout the country. Our goal is to provide an affordable and accessible event designed specifically for those who aren’t able to get to the BLC.”
