ROMEOVILLE, Ill. — Protection 1 has expanded its reach in Hawaii with the acquisition of Pacific Security Integrations (PSI).
The Aiea, Hawaii-based PSI — formerly Sensoramatic Hawaii — has served the Hawaiian Islands for more than 30 years.
Led by Richard Osborne Jr., a 25-year security industry veteran, PSI specializes in high-tech physical security systems for the banking, commercial, government, industrial, military, residential and retail sectors.
This is the first acquisition for P1 in 2014.
“Our acquisition strategy has focused on bringing on capabilities and leadership,” P1 CEO Timothy Whall says. “Our growth over the past three years has been largely organic, stemming from new focus, new talent and new capabilities. We are pleased to bring PSI into the Protection 1 fold and look forward to continuing to leverage Richard’s considerable expertise in this area.”
Having worked with Osborne in the past, P1 executives were impressed with how the PSI business operated, as P1 runs similar “customer-first” strategies.
“We have had experience working with Richard and his team over the past couple of years by leveraging his resources with some of our high end clients in Hawaii,” P1 Executive Vice President Dan Bresingham says. “Their ability to make the customer experience a priority, as well as Rick’s industry experience and familiarity with the market, makes them a great addition to the Protection 1 family and further extend our capabilities as a national provider.”
Osborne, as well as his employees, will be joining the P1 team, and says he is looking forward to the new opportunities for growth and training in the P1 family.
“Joining Protection 1 will enable us to expand our capabilities and offer more to our customers,” Osborne says. “Customers will experience a seamless transition, receiving the same excellent service they are accustomed to with PSI in addition to access to more products and services.”
