Red Hawk Fire & Security Starts Rebranding Process

BOCA RATON, Fla. — In an effort to transition away from its former owner UTC Climate, Controls & Security, systems integrator Red Hawk Fire & Security has released a new logo and Web site as it rebrands its image.

The new logo builds on Red Hawk’s strong heritage and existing brand equity, while distinguishing fire and security as central focus of its services, according to the company. The Web site, redhawkus.com, also demonstrates an expertise and breadth of capabilities in the commercial fire and security industry, according to the firm.

“Red Hawk has earned a solid reputation as a group of local and regional companies,” Red Hawk CEO Mike Snyder says. “We wanted to hold on to the existing brand and provide the same great execution with leading technologies and applications across our platform.”

In April, private equity fund Comvest Investment Partners purchased UTC Climate, Controls & Security’s fire and security operations. Comvest chose Snyder, former president of ADT Security Services, and Dean Seavers, former president of GE Security and SimplexGrinnell, to lead the newly developed Red Hawk team. Seavers serves as president of the recently rebranded company.

With roughly 1,400 employees and 40 locations, Red Hawk will also blend some of the individual organizations that make up the company, fusing together different strengths and strategies. Among the companies now part of Red Hawk are National Network Services (NNSI), a single source provider of networking solutions supporting voice, data, video and special systems integration for businesses; Korden Manufacturing, a provider of steel case access control lockers and bank equipment; and MPA Systems, which provides quick set-up modular buildings for financial institutions during disaster situations.

“In addition to the core businesses that have been such long-standing, reliable resources for customers in fire and security services, other companies in the Red Hawk family bring incredible value to the portfolio of services we offer customers,” Snyder says. “By having the resources and the reach of a large company and the agility of a small one, we can be exceptionally responsive to commercial customers in the upper and middle market who count on us for complex, customized solutions and advanced systems integration.”
