SILVER SPRING, Md. — The Security Industry Association (SIA) has selected two-time Pulitzer-Prize winning journalist and best-selling author Bob Woodward to serve as keynote speaker at its 2013 Government Summit, scheduled for June 4-5, 2013 at the W Hotel in Washington.
A recipient of the Gerald R. Ford Prize for Reporting on the Presidency, Woodward has spent more than four decades as a reporter and associate editor for the Washington Post. His work on the Watergate scandal with colleague Carl Bernstein helped the Post win the Pulitzer Prize in 1973. As the main reporter for the Washington Post on the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks, Woodward contributed to the National Affairs Pulitzer Prize in 2002.
Woodward has also written or co-written 12 non-fiction best-sellers, including: All the President’s Men, The Final Days (with Carl Bernstein), The Brethren: Inside he Supreme Court (with Scott Armstrong), The Commanders and more. Three of his books have been made into motion pictures.
