MIAMI — Mission 500, a nonprofit security industry initiative, has joined forces with industry trade publications through its integrated marketing campaign to help serve the needs of children and communities in crisis.
SECURITY SALES & INTEGRATION, along with its sister publication, Campus Safety Magazine, will support this marketing program through their respective Web pages and portals.
Through the campaign, Mission 500 aims to inspire security professionals and/or their employers to sponsor at least one child through World Vision’s child sponsorship program. Only $360 per year (tax deductible) helps feed, clothe, educate and tend to the healthcare of a child in need.
Mission 500 will host its fourth annual 5K Run/2K Walk on April 11 at ISC West. Runners and walkers can participate in the April 11 event for a $30 registration fee, and will be able to set up their own customized fundraising pages to lend their support to this effort as individuals, helping to sponsor more children. Led by a group of security industry leaders, Mission 500 By ISC West 2013, the campaign aspires to sponsor at least 250 new children.
In 2012 the event raised almost $95,000, which helped sponsor 260 children for a full year, providing food, water, education and healthcare.
