SSI to Host Summit for First Time Alongside CE Pro, Commercial Integrator

The summits are all part of the Total Technology Summit this November in Atlanta.

Security Sales & Integration is hosting the first Security Sales & Integration Summit in November alongside the CE Pro Summit and Commercial Integrator Summit, SSI sister publications owned by EH Publishing.

The SSI Summit is part of the Total Technology Summit to be held Nov. 2 – 4 in Atlanta. The EH Publishing events have already attracted a record number of sponsors — up 90% from last year, which itself was up 35% from the year prior.

“The Total Technology Summit is a new, stimulating and interactive peer-focused event where professional installing and monitoring security systems dealers and integrators share their front-lines challenges and opportunities with one another in an enjoyable, engaging and informative environment,” said Scott Goldfine, editor-in-chief and associate publisher of SSI. “Results-oriented leadership, operational management, team-building, technology adoption, portfolio expansion, project management, recurring revenue generation and customer service are among myriad topics to be covered.

Security Sales & Integration is extremely pleased to be able to deliver what promises to be a rewarding and enriching experience to its audience.”

This year, top 100 dealers from each of the channels — home technology, commercial integration and residential/commercial security — will enjoy conference tracks customized for their respective markets, but they will also share networking opportunities and marketplace exhibits.

“We see a lot of cross-pollination among these different constituents,” says Jason Knott, vice president, Consumer Electronics & Security at EH Publishing. “Residential integrators are getting into the commercial business. Security dealers are getting into home automation. Commercial integrators are targeting the home market. The crossover goes on and on.”

At the same time, manufacturers are seeing their products deployed in multiple markets, and they “no longer limit themselves to one application, for example, home audio or commercial surveillance,” Knott says.

He attributes the enhanced sponsor interest in the Summits to a larger and broader trade attendance spanning multiple markets, as well as the increasing appeal of intimate trade events.

“We’re heading into our ninth year with this event and have been tweaking the model continuously to increase value and appeal for sponsors and VIP guests alike,” says John Galante, principal of AE Ventures, which produces the summits for EH Publishing.

In the past few weeks, these new companies have signed up as sponsors: AudioControl, AudioTechnica, Bose, Clinton Electronics, Core/Nortek, Crimson AV, Dish, Dovenet, Flir, Fortress Seating, Future Automation, Future Ready Solutions, GEM Electronics, Legrand, LG, Millson Custom Solutions, Napco, Ring, Security Partners, Sonance, Speco Technologies, Synnex, Yale and Z-Wave Alliance.
