System Sensor’s i³ line of smoke detectors has received ETL listing from Intertek, a provider of quality and safety solutions serving a range of industries worldwide.
System Sensor chose to pursue the ETL Listed mark because of Intertek’s reputation for excellent customer service and for the cost-efficiencies gained through ETL certification, according to the company.
“The request for an ETL Listing on System Sensor’s i³ smoke detectors is indicative of the growth of our life safety program, as well as the widespread acceptance and recognition of the ETL mark,” says Tom Connaughton, director, Life Safety & Security Services, Intertek
Authorities having jurisdiction (AHJs) and retailers accept the ETL listing as a product’s mark of compliance to applicable safety standards.
Intertek is an Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) accepted nationally recognized testing laboratory in the U.S. and is accredited as a testing organization and certification body by the Standards Council of Canada. The company tests and certifies a wide range of products to ANSI/UL, CSA, ASTM, NFPA, IEC and other local, national and international standards.
