The SpectrAlert advance low-frequency sounders and sounder strobes by System Sensor of St. Charles, Ill., are the first notification appliances to meet the new NFPA 72 2010/2013 low-frequency requirements for certain new sleeping spaces, according to the company.

The devices were designed to integrate into the panel’s notification appliance circuit (NAC) line and provide audibility and tone requirements needed to awaken individuals. All devices feature a plug-in design and universal mounting plate, making installations fast and foolproof while virtually eliminating costly and time-consuming ground faults, according to the company.

To protect devices from construction damage, the SpectrAlert Advance universal mounting plate utilizes an onboard shorting spring, allowing installers to mount the plate and test wiring continuity before the device is installed.
