HICORY, N.C. — The Systems Depot, a national electronic security products distributor, has named Scott Hay as its new president.

In his new role, Hay will focus on client service, integrated sales training and project management.

The firm is currently building a National Technical Sales Center, which will reach out to more than 15,000 companies nationwide. The new center will be outfitted with the latest hardware, training tools and work stations to help increase employee productivity and comfort.

“Part of the sales center will include on on-site cafeteria with our staff chef and exercise facilities,” Hay says. “It is modeled after the work environments seen consistently in companies rated best places to work. When these in-house advancements are coupled with the broad product assortment currently provided to dealers and integrators nationally, and with our Depot Express same day delivery, we are positioning ourselves for strong and sustained growth.”

With nearly 20 years in the security business, Hay has served in leadership positions across the spectrum of the industry. He most recently served as operations manager for Protection 1 in both North and South Carolina.

Prior to that, Hay was director of installation and field services for Iverify.US, which serviced all of the Family Dollar, Dollar General, and GameStop locations throughout the nation. He also was the founder and owner of Dallas, N.C.-based Custom Automation and Security.
