Thieves in Portland, Ore., got away with a major heist.

Remote Control Hobbies was robbed of more than $11,000 worth of drones on Thursday, according to a KATU report, as the intruders were caught on video surveillance breaking into the store through a window directly adjacent to the shelf where the drones were displayed.

Eight to nine Yuneec Typhoon Q500 were stolen in less than three minutes, each with a sticker price of $1,300.

“They went straight for [the drones],” store manager Jason Littlejohn said. “Before the grid even hit the floor they were already reaching around the corner to start pulling these off the shelf.”

Littlejohn said he plans to beef up security ahead of the holiday season since he doesn’t expect this to be the only time the store will be targeted.
