Top 8 Surveillance Videos of the Week: Traveler Climbs Into Luggage X-Ray Conveyor Belt at Airport

Other top videos include a tip jar thief who makes a critical misstep and a Las Vegas taco store that turned a robbery into a hilarious ad.

Traveling during the holidays is a stressful endeavor. Stress can lead to questionable decisions. And then there’s the case of the man in China who climbed into the luggage x-ray conveyor belt at the airport.

Video surveillance footage at the airport captured footage of the man going through airport security. It appears an attendant at the airport gestured for the traveler to place his luggage on the conveyor belt, but the man misinterpreted the message and decided to climb in himself. That security camera footage leads off this week’s edition of the Surveillance Videos of the Week.

Other videos highlighted this week include a tourist in Brazil fighting off three armed robbers, a tip jar thief receiving a healthy dose of karma and a Las Vegas taco place that makes the most of being robbed.

The security camera footage is being used by police to solve crimes. In some cases, arrests have been made thanks in large part to the visual evidence supplied by video surveillance systems.
