The ESV4 by Toshiba Surveillance & IP Video Products Group of Irvine, Calif., is a four-channel embedded NVR that combines high-definition output with low cost-of-ownership, according to the company.
Featuring advanced technologies like HDMI output in 1,080p HD video, simultaneous recording of four megapixel IP cameras, mobile app support and free video management software (VMS), the solution can be a drop-in replacement for legacy analog systems, according to the company. It is compatible with Toshiba IP cameras and more than 500 other ONVIF-compliant IP cameras up to five megapixels.
Embedded with the Linux operating system, the device supports H.264 live monitoring. It offers expandable video storage up to 6TB on its two internal high-speed SATA HDDs. Live video from IP cameras operating in multiple locations can be remotely managed and recorded on an ESV4 stored off-site to prevent tampering.
