Codebench Achieves GSA Approved Products Listing

COCONUT CREEK, Fla.—Codebench Inc., a provider of TWIC/HSPD-12/FIPS-201 authentication software, has achieved listing on the General Services Administration (GSA) Approved Product List (APL) for its server-based Certificate Verification Protocol (SCVP) client.

Codebench’s PIVCheck desktop edition is the latest addition to the newly created SCVP category. The new group denotes products that comply with the Federal Information Processing Standard (FIPS 201).

The use of SCVP as part of a FIPS 201-compliant physical access control solution improves the credential validation process by simplifying the certificate path discovery between the client and multiple certificate validation authorities, according to the company.

“SCVP is going to be a fundamental building block of FIPS 201-compliant physical access control systems, and we’re proud to have assisted the GSA in recognizing its importance to FIPS 201 compliance,” says Codebench President Bob Fontana.
