Verint Systems Unveils Enhancements to Verint Situational Awareness Platform at ASIS
Platform offers improved communication between citizens and first responders.

Verint Systems, based out of Huntington, N.Y., announced enhancements to its Verint Situational Awareness Platform at ASIS on Monday. The platform now incorporates advanced solutions to help organizations gain comprehensive situational awareness while driving rapid incident response and enhanced field communications, according to the company.
The enhancements include Dispatch Manager, Mobile Reporter and Mobile Responder.
The Verint Situational Awareness Platform enables command-and-control operators to play a more active role in incident management and response by notifying users of emergency situations based on their location. Data from mobile devices can be sent to the command center to allow the general public to report security concerns and issues in real-time.

The additional information affords first responders and security personnel a clearer picture of incidents.
Verint says the solution combines situational awareness with built-in dispatch and bi-directional information flow for continuous communication between citizens, intake operators, field resources and command center personnel. First responders can also provide updates through their mobile devices, whether it be video streams or live images sent through the platform. The Verint Situational Awareness Platform combines multiple sources into one platform for a unified view of the situation between responders and citizens.
