A Team Effort

By definition, a blog is a group effort and this new "Enterprising Solutions" blog will fit that definition and then some. We're going to take the concept that worked well in print - to provide insight and commentary on issues that end users, consultants, integrators, and manufacturers face in the real world - and "kick it up a notch." We can do this because a blog is more flexible in terms of length, interactivity, and especially timeliness.

The group effort aspect of a blog is the most exciting part, for me. I am looking forward to pulling in feedback from the people I work with every day and using it to shape the conversation. These people include clients, integrators, manufacturers, friends in high (and low) places, and our team here at R. Grossman and Associates (RG&A). The combined skill set of these folks (myself included) is pretty varied and that will keep it interesting.

But the group effort doesn't stop there. My hope is that your responses will fill in the gaps. Suggestions, questions, opinions, and the inevitable "realignment" when I make the inevitable mistake or two. I hope to be able to ask the occasional question as well, and look forward to hearing your responses, something that is far more difficult to do in print.

One of my favorite quotes comes from Otto von Bismarck, German Chancellor from 1862-1890. He is credited with saying "A fool learns from his mistakes, but a truly wise man learns from the mistakes of others". Let's use this forum to grow wise together.

Great idea for a forum bob. There is one that comes to mind my grandmother used to say "Learn from the past, don't live in the past. my grandfathers version was "The more your head is in the past, The deeper it is up your azz" LOL One that always stuck with me I do not know who said it but it is something like this: "A good man never regrets what he has accomplished in his lifetime. It is the things he didn't accomplish that he regrets"
