Top Manufacturer Sites for Integrators

In the December 2012 Tech Talk column titled “Making Systems More User-Friendly,” I had stated the possible posting of additional replies from your peers. Below is a listing of what you thought were great manufacturer Web sites. Note that they come from many low voltage trades such as home automation, RFID, security, CCTV, access control, and low voltage cabling.

Pedro Arrendondo Alegret	www.extron.com	This site is the reference inside the A/V market. For example, when you’re logged in, you can see the specifications and the prices depending on your account.

Ruben Fernandes	www.control4.com/ and www.wyrestorm.com	The Control4.com site is always very clean and intuitive on both sites (dealer and consumer). Wyrestorm.com is very good. The product specs are very easy to read and the product videos are great!

However, remember that these are LinkedIn links and you may be asked to join a particular LinkedIn group if you are not already a member. Most are open to having new members so don’t be shy. Oh yes, make sure you at least join the SECURITY SALES & INTEGRATION magazine’s LinkedIn group.

I found the diversity of this listing very interesting and information. I hope that you may also find a true “Diamond In the Rough” (DIR) here as well.
