Save the Date for the 3rd Annual Mission 500 Softball Fundraiser

Mission 500 is relying on the support and dedication of the security industry to reach its goal of $75,000.

MIAMI, Fla. —  Mission 500 announces Saturday, September 9, 2017 as the date for its third annual security industry softball game fundraiser.

This year’s event will be held from 12:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Overpeck County Park, located at 40 Fort Lee Road in Leonia, N.J.

“This event is so much fun and is a great opportunity for our community to help those in need,” says Jeff Eichenlaub, director of strategic partnerships for Mission 500. “We are counting on the continued support and dedication of the industry to make the day a success and help us reach our goal of $75,000.”

Sponsorships are available at the Bronze, Silver, Gold and Platinum levels. Platinum level sponsors each can put two players on the field while Gold and Silver sponsors are each allowed one. Player numbers will be capped at 30, with 15 players on each team.

Those who are unable to attend the event, but would still like to donate, can do so by visiting here.

Mission 500 will also be hosting a ‘Back to School Care Pack’ event at the game with a goal of assembling 200 book bags filled with school supplies. Every $27 donated fills one backpack for donation to local children in need.

During last year’s game, which raised more than $55,000, individuals from 22 companies and their children participated in a very competitive matchup that ended in a tie after the seventh inning due to rain.

“Axis Communications is proud to support Mission 500 through a variety of initiatives,” says Fredrik Nilsson, vice president, Americas, Axis Communications, Inc. “The upcoming softball game is a great way for the entire industry to come together to support a great cause and help children and families in need.”

Security industry professionals can support Mission 500 in a variety of ways throughout the year, including volunteering to help with the Security 5K/2K at ISC West or making financial donations. All donations are tax-deductible and can be made with major credit cards and American Express loyalty points.
