AUSTIN, Texas - Smarter Security Systems, provider of intelligent entrance control and outdoor security solutions, has installed its Fastlane GlassGate 200 optical turnstile at a prominent class A building in Los Angeles to protect the lobby.
In addition to enhancing the safety of the people and property in the building, the Fastlane security turnstiles also enabled the building management to save operational expenses by reducing its security officer headcount, according to the company.
"We are pleased to count another distinctive building in southern California as one of our customers," said Mark Ellsworth, vice president of Sales and Business Development for Smarter Security Systems.
The turnstile was installed in pairs to secure access to two elevator bays in the lobby of the building. The multi-tenant high-rise office tower is managed by the company that chose GlassGate 200 after seeing it in a Fortune 50 corporate headquarters.
The small size of the pedestals was also important as the turnstiles had to fit into an existing space, and the customer wanted two lanes per elevator bay. After installing the turnstiles, the management company eliminated two security officer positions, which saved 160 man-hours a week.
