IRVINE, Calif. -- HID Global announced it would begin using the Genuine HID label for third-party products and launched an integrator/dealer initiative at ASIS Int'l in Anaheim, Calif.
The new Genuine HID Technology trademark identifies third-party product using HID technology; the new dealer program is called Advantage HID Channel Partner.
With Genuine HID, customers benefit from a broad product line of interoperable security solutions, as well as a lifetime warranty, according to the company.

Genuine HID products will offer card-to-reader interoperability in multi-location installations and multicard/reader populations; multiple card technologies that enable proximity and Smart Card reads; numerous choices of readers and cards that offer multi-factor authentication for additional layers of security; a lifetime warranty; and global certifications for customers with facilities in various international locations.
In addition, the new trademark distinguishes authentic HID technology from unauthorized third party products, according to the company.
The Advantage HID Channel Partner program ensures that Genuine HID products are ushered through the HID supply chain by top-tier channel partners that have long made customer satisfaction a top priority. Accordingly, the program provides recognition, incentives and relationship-based benefits to an exclusive group of select OEMs, distributors, integrators/dealers and resellers with exemplary track records in delivery and customer service.
