HID Global, FST21 Partner to Offer Access Control Solution

FRAMINGHAM, Mass. — HID Global and FST21 Ltd., a provider of intelligent controlled access and automation solutions and services, have teamed up to enable organizations to add HID's RFID readers to facility access points, complementing the combination of face and voice recognition, pattern of behavior license plate recognition and visitor management offered with FST21's SafeRise system.

HID Global's RFID solutions can be placed at additional access points beyond the main entrance, which will provide a completely integrated and economic solution, according to the company. Additionally, card holders can now be enrolled using the FST21 system.

SafeRise uses a combination of second generation biometrics to provide the highest level of security to organizations, according to the company. The system does not use keys, cards or codes. Instead, the face and voice of authorized personnel works like a key.

"This partnership leverages FST21's industry-leading fusion of biometric technologies with HID Global's widely deployed RFID technology for access control systems, extending the value proposition for all buildings and providing organizations a complete solution," says Brenton Scott, executive director of Business Development, networked access solutions, HID Global.
