IRVINE, Calif. — HID Global has launched a product security reporting center that will allow users to report security vulnerabilities in HID Global products on its Web site.

The company’s internal quality program will provide a comprehensive, structured process for responding to susceptibility reports and defining appropriate actions, which may be required to mitigate potential security risks and inform customers, according to the company.

Claims reported through the new center will be systematically investigated, assessed and validated as part of the HID Global’s security vulnerability response process.

“We recognize that responsible members of the security community are in a position to provide valuable input to help us strengthen the overall security and value of HID Global products,” says Denis Hébert, president and CEO, HID Global. “The HID Global product security reporting center is designed to provide a framework for communicating information to us and represents one more way in which we help protect our customers from unauthorized activities.”
