Lucky Technology Provides Biometrics Option for Schools

January 27, 2011 | Comments (0) | Post a comment

SANTA CLARA, Calif. — Installers seeking an access control system to deploy in schools might consider a biometric solution as an option.

Lucky Technology has combined its iGuard authentication device with SecuGen's SDAO3M fingerprint module. The iGuard uses fingerprints to approve students entering and leaving school buildings. That data cannot be lost or stolen, the company says.

If there is an incident, officials can lock down the campus or selected doors with iGuard's network capability. Administrators can also give police and fire departments access to pre-registered fingerprints. This permits first responders to enter campuses during lockdowns.
