LAS VEGAS — Stanley Convergent Security Solutions (CSS) will now offer iris-based biometric product solutions, thanks to a new partnership with Hoyos Corp., a biometrics R&D firm. The companies announced the collaboration this week at ISC West.
Under the terms of the agreement, Stanley CSS will exclusively provide Hoyos' technology in the United States and Europe. In exchange, the company will manage Hoyos' entire global client base, including U.S. governmental agencies.
"We believe the Hoyos technology will be a very positive addition to our suite of security solutions," says Stanley CSS President Tony Byerly. "We see the Hoyos solutions as game changers in the identity management space. It has potential for corporate, industrial, government and national account customers."
The product reduces identity-based fraud by matching people with the unique biometric markers associated with their irises. The product captures iris data with proprietary camera, lighting technology, chip sets, software and physical form factors for capturing iris data.
"Stanley CSS aligned very well with Hoyos' business goals," says Hoyos CEO Hector Hoyos. "It clearly understands the impact and market reach of our intellectual property. It has committed to leveraging its robust global sales network to bring our product to a broad marketplace."
