The electronic security industry is mourning the loss of Michael Kallio, who served as Mace Central Station’s vice president of business development. He died Jan. 10 after a battle with cancer.

Kallio, a 26-year Mace CSSS employee, was also a member of the California Alarm Association (CAA).

Mace Security Int’l will create the Michael Kallio Spirit Award and will provide matching funds to the Scholarship Endowment in Kallio’s honor. This endowment will provide scholarship funds to deserving students for their college education.

I am so sorry to hear this. I knew he was ill and putting up a fight, but was unaware of the severity. He will be missed. May God bless his family and loved ones.
