Acadian Monitoring Services has completed its acquisition of Elk Grove Village, Ill.-based Infinity Monitoring Inc. The purchase adds more than 40,000 wholesale monitored accounts to Acadian’s customer base.
Acadian, which acquired the stock of Infinity in an all cash transaction, intends to keep the Infinity central station at its Elk Grove Village headquarters. Infinity CEO Tim Newman will remain in a similar position with the company.
Acadian, a division of Acadian Ambulance Service, has provided monitoring services throughout the United States for 15 years. This is the company’s second acquisition.
According to Blane Comeaux, vice president and general manager of the monitoring services division, Acadian intends to grow through organic growth as well as acquisitions.
Acadian runs monitoring centers in Lafayette and Baton Rouge, La., and has its own fully redundant backup center is Austin, Texas.
