Allied Fire & Security Honored for Business Excellence

May 05, 2010 | Comments (0) | Post a comment

Honored for business excellence and inspirational leadership, Allied Fire & Security and its proprietors were recently inducted into the Jr. Achievement of the Inland Northwest’s Business Hall of Fame.

The nonprofit Jr. Achievement of the Inland Northwest collaborates with schools and business leaders to teach K-12 students economic-based curriculum, promoting a fundamental understanding of the free enterprise system. Its annual Hall of Fame induction honors men and women whose inspirational leadership has set the example for business excellence and courageous thinking, according to the group.

“Our family and business is honored to receive this award, but it is the employees who helped pave the way for all this to be possible,” says Allied Fire & Security President Jay Hunt. “They are the reason we are in business and we are deeply appreciative to have the opportunity to work with such a fabulous team of individuals.”

Founded in 1948 in Spokane, Wash., Allied has 150 employees. Operating three primary branches in Spokane, Seattle and Portland, the company supports numerous local social service organizations in all three communities — a tradition begun by Allied’s founder, R.A. (Bob) Hunt.
